Eligible patients can receive the jab for free, while others can book a private flu vaccination for just £19.95.

Who Is Eligible for a Free NHS Flu Vaccine?

You may qualify for a free NHS flu jab if you are:

  • Aged 65 or over (including those turning 65 by 31 March 2025)
  • Living with certain health conditions (e.g. asthma, diabetes, heart or kidney disease)
  • Pregnant
  • Living in long-term residential care
  • The main carer for an older or disabled person
  • Living with someone with a weakened immune system
  • A frontline health or social care worker

Do I need to be registered with Church Pharmacy?

No, you can book directly.

Can I get the vaccine if I’m pregnant?

Yes, it’s recommended to help protect you and your baby.

Are there side effects?

How much does it cost if I’m not eligible for the NHS vaccine?

£19.95 per vaccination.

Can I still have the Flu vaccine if I'm feeling unwell?

If you have a high temperature, wait until you're feeling better before having your flu vaccine. Minor cold symptoms such as a runny nose, sore throat or cough are generally not reasons to postpone your Flu vaccination. Ask the vaccinator before your jab if unsure.

Can I have other vaccines at the same time as my Flu vaccine?

Yes, you can safely have most other vaccines including the Covid vaccine at the same time as your Flu vaccine. Refer to the pharmacist or your GP for advice on specific vaccines. At Church Pharmacy you can book to have your Covid vaccine together or separately as per your preference.
