Who Can Get
the COVID-19 Vaccine?

The NHS offers free flu and COVID-19 vaccines to people at higher risk.

If you're eligible you can also book the NHS vaccine at Church Pharmacy via the NHS booking system. When prompted use the Church Pharmacy postcode to search LE11 5GU.

For those not eligible through the NHS, we offer the latest Pfizer COMIRNATY® LP.8.1 vaccine as a private service:

Do I need to be registered with Church Pharmacy?

No, you can book directly.

Which vaccine do you provide?

For the private service. We offer the newest Pfizer COMIRNATY® LP.8.1, designed for the current strain.

For the NHS service we are currently using the Pfizer KP.2 Comirnaty vaccine. Please note that these vaccines are supplied to the pharmacy directly from the NHS and are subject to change as per NHS policy.

How much does it cost?

£85 per vaccination.
Free of charge for eligible NHS patients.

Can I have the vaccine if I’ve recently had COVID-19?

Yes, but you should wait until you are feeling better or for 4 weeks after testing positive (whichever comes first).

Are there side effects?

How can I check if I'm eligible for the NHS Covid vaccine?

You can get the Winter Covid vaccine if you:

  • are aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 31 January 2026).
  • are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment.
  • live in a care home for older adults.

Can I have other vaccines at the same time as my Covid vaccine?

Yes, you can safely have most other vaccines including the Flu vaccine at the same time as your Covid vaccine. Refer to the pharmacist or your GP for advice on specific vaccines. At Church Pharmacy you can book to have your flu vaccine together or separately as per your preference.
