Church Pharmacy Launches
Skinuva® for Professional Scar and Pigmentation Care
The treatment may end in clinic, but the patient journey does not. As demand grows for more structured aftercare and longer-term skin management, Church Pharmacy has added Skinuva® to its professional skincare portfolio, giving practitioners a new way to support patients beyond the procedure itself.
A Targeted Addition to the Clinic Skincare Portfolio
The initial Skinuva® range available from Church Pharmacy comprises Skinuva Scar and Skinuva Brite, two physician-developed topical products focused on concerns that frequently sit alongside aesthetic and surgical treatments: visible scarring and uneven pigmentation.
Skinuva Scar is available in 15ml, 30ml and 50ml sizes, allowing clinics to select the format most appropriate to the treatment area and anticipated period of use. Skinuva Brite is supplied in a 30ml format.
Rather than entering the market as a broad daily skincare line, Skinuva has a more defined place in practice. Its formulas are designed for specific patient concerns and can be incorporated into practitioner-led treatment and aftercare plans.
Where Skinuva Fits in Practice
Skinuva Scar combines selective synthetic growth factors with a silicone cream matrix. It has been developed to help improve the appearance of surgical and injury scars and stretch marks, while also supporting the skin following procedures such as laser treatments, microneedling and chemical peels. The manufacturer recommends beginning use once the treatment area has fully closed and is suitable for topical application. Skinuva describes the formula as physician-developed and clinically tested.
This makes it relevant across a range of settings, from medical aesthetics and dermatology-led clinics to plastic surgery and other practices managing patients through a longer recovery pathway.
Skinuva Brite addresses a different but equally persistent concern. The non-hydroquinone formulation is intended for the management of visible hyperpigmentation, including melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and sun-related discolouration. It brings together selective growth factors with established brightening ingredients including tranexamic acid, vitamin C, arbutin and niacinamide. The formulation is designed for ongoing daily use, which may make it particularly relevant where pigmentation management requires a sustained approach rather than a short intervention.
Why Clinics May Take Notice
Post-procedure skincare has become a more important part of the commercial and clinical conversation. Patients increasingly expect clear guidance on what happens after treatment, while practitioners need products that fit logically into established protocols.
Skinuva gives clinics an opportunity to make scar and pigmentation support a planned part of the patient pathway, rather than an informal recommendation made at the end of an appointment. For patients undergoing resurfacing, microneedling, peels or surgery, that structure may help set clearer expectations and encourage appropriate follow-up.
There is also a commercial case. Targeted homecare can extend the clinic relationship beyond the treatment room, create additional retail opportunities and support continuity between appointments. Because the range addresses recognisable concerns rather than general skincare needs, recommendations can be linked to a specific indication, procedure or treatment objective.
The choice of three Skinuva Scar sizes adds further practical flexibility, enabling clinics to match the product more closely to smaller facial scars, wider treatment areas or longer protocols.
