In September 2009, Jenna gave birth to her first daughter, Chloe Elizabeth Tate. She was born with a condition known as Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia; a condition which takes the lives of 50% of the 5000 babies it affects every year. Sadly, Chloe passed away three days after she was born.
To raise awareness of the condition and support the amazing work of The Peter Congdon Neonatal Unit at Leeds General Infirmary, who cared for Chloe, Jenna has set up SMILE – The Chloe Tate Foundation, to fundraise for Leeds Hospitals Charity.
Church Pharmacy is supporting The Chloe Tate Foundation by donating a bespoke skincare hamper to be auctioned at its upcoming charity ball, which will contribute towards raising funds for new incubators at The Peter Congdon Neonatal Unit.
We hope the event is a great success and raises further funding for Leeds Hospitals Charity.
“I cannot even begin to tell you how grateful we are. We could not put on the events we do without the support of businesses; we are really very grateful for the support of Church Pharmacy.” (Jenna Tate)
