Alpine Challenge!

On the 9th-13th October 2019 Jean from Cosmetic Skin clinic took part in a challenge to mark Child Bereavement UK’s 25th year.

It is a unique challenge hiking 3 peaks in 3 countries (France, Italy and Switzerland) in 3 days reaching altitudes over twice as high as Ben Nevis.

Jean is aiming to raise funds for the charity to help them continue to grow and spread their work further supporting families and educating professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.

Here are examples of what your donations collectively, will help to fund:

• £50 Provides a face to face support session
• £100 can train a volunteer for a family support group
• £500 provides Bereavement training for teachers
• £1000 supports a bereaved family for one year
• £2500 provides a training day for 30 midwives
• £5000 answers 200 calls to their national helpline.

Church Pharmacy has donated £1,500 towards this special cause.
