Emma Powell of Church Pharmacy raised an incredible £1,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support. After diagnosing her with a condition known as greater occipital neuralgia and many unsuccessful attempts to treat it with medication and nerve block procedures, her surgeons decided that surgery was the only option to manage the condition and improve her quality of life. To reduce the risk of infection after surgery and to raise money to support people with cancer from diagnosis to their final months, she decided to brave all and shave all her hair off. Family, friends, and colleagues from Church Pharmacy have all donated generously and Emma has well exceeded her initial target amount!
